How to host and track eLearning courses without an LMS

You have built a course. Now your team or students need to take it, and you need to know who finished. Here is a lightweight way to do that with the EchoLearn Academy.

What you need

A course made with the eLearning Content Creator (or a package from your History), a paid plan for hosting, and learners who each have a free EchoLearn360 account.

Step by step

  1. Publish. From the course result or from My History choose Publish. Enter a title and description, pick a category and choose the people who can see it.
  2. Set a due date (optional). Learners receive an enrolment email with the date, a reminder shortly before it and a notice if they are overdue.
  3. Add a quiz (optional). Create single-choice questions and a pass mark. Correct answers are only revealed after a learner passes.
  4. Learners take the course. They find it under My Learning, watch at their own pace and can resume where they stopped.
  5. Certificates. When a learner finishes the course and passes the quiz, they can print a certificate; anyone with the certificate number can verify it on a public page.
  6. Track results. Open Analytics to see enrolments, completion rate, average score, time spent, quiz pass rate and overdue learners. Export the learner list as CSV.

Keeping learners on track

When you will outgrow it

The Academy is intentionally simple. If you later need learning paths, single sign-on or advanced reporting, download your courses as SCORM 1.2 packages and import them into a full LMS – you keep everything you built.
